The project aims at the development of new biosensors for the direct detection of pathogens without complicated purification steps.

For this purpose, a new class of sensor-actor-molecules will be generated that integrate pathogen recognition and signalling structures for direct detection of analytes in a complex environment. Through the complete integration of all necessary processing steps on molecular level, a new generation in bioanalytics will be achieved.
